COMO TNT HOOPS A family affair

COMO TNT was founded in the Summer of 2015 by Coach Tyree Goolsby and his wife, Tiffany.  While growing up, Coach T did not have a lot of money and was not able to play any organized sports outside of making his school team(s).  As a child, he felt that he was left behind, because he did not have the personal training and quality coaching that other children had.  Then, when Coach T and his wife were looking to get their son, Justin, into competitive sports, they ran into similar problems.  Justin played on a competitive team that was very expensive, and he did not receive quality coaching. 

Coach T also noticed that underprivileged students were missing out on playing altogether, because they could not afford the often expensive fees. As a result, Coach T decided that he could create his own team that would teach them the skills that are necessary to succeed in competitive sports as well as in life. This is COMO TNT’s origin story.  

Over the past 7 years, TNT has had the opportunity to offer 50 different teams nurturing the game of young men and women from 4th grade to high school. Last year, we put together one of the best if not the best 17U teams in Mid-Missouri. We had multiple players ranked at both the state and national level. All of the boys played with a heart and love of the game, which along with hard work and dedication made them the best team that TNT has put on the floor. Our 16u team is  80-5 over the  Last 2 seasons and won 48 games in a row from Spring- Summer- Fall. 

Our Mid-Missouri boys showed that they could compete with some of the best in the nation, which is why multiple players rankings went up at season’s end. A lot of our 9th grade players from last year are either starting varsity or getting significant playing time on that level. Now, our program has direct connections with various sports writers and other media personnel who  follow our program and players for ranking purposes.
